Today is a great day because after 2 weeks of getting nowhere with Network Solutions in an attempt to move SpikeLikes.net to a new registrar and hosting company, we just bought another domain name to add to our family fittingly called SpikeLikesDesign.com. Then, we rerouted SpikeLikes.net to our main corporate site SpikeLikes.com. This brings up an interesting topic we’ll probably write about in an in-depth article later – the topic being the ease of purchasing domain names – however, we’re going to solidly suggest that you HOST where you buy your domain name particularly if you intend to sign up for private registration. We recommend private registration for the sake of security, personal information protection, and spam / telemarketer prevention. Private registration is considered an add-on feature to the domain name purchase so be aware of the extra expense. |
