The Wood-Pile

published: Jul 21, 2010 by Team Spike Likes in category: Inspiration (and then some)

Out walking in the frozen swamp one gray day
I paused and said, ‘I will turn back from here.
No, I will go on farther- and we shall see’.
The hard snow held me, save where now and then
One foot went through. The view was all in lines
Straight up and down of tail slim trees
Too much alike to mark or name a place by
So as to say for certain I was here
Or somewhere else: I was just far from home.

More Holiday (email) Happiness

published: Dec 11, 2009 by Team Spike Likes in category: General Splendor

The email creative below is one of the prettiest, holiday-themed custom rich email designs we’ve developed to date. The design was re-styled for 2 additional MapMyFitness sites and takes its design cues from…snow! If anyone was around in the D.C area last week – you are one of the lucky ducks to enjoy the early snowflake pummeling. Fun driving, huh?

pht_drawing_arrow So, I was fortunate enough to work on the new Chiquita Bananas web site concept for Sitelab Interactive over the past 3 weeks. Yippee! The arrow shown right is one of several hand-drawn (with a Sharpie and black ball point pen) doo-dads that will be found on the site.

An hour with a Nikon D3

ducky ducks

It’s not every day someone comes up to you and says, “here, play with this for a little bit” and hands you a Nikon D3 sporting a telephoto AF VR 80-400mm lens. Even if it was only for an hour, I consider the offer a happy treat.
